UPL: Arua Hill Moves Fourth After Thumping Express 4-1.

Arua Hill SC comfortably beat Express FC 4-1 in the Uganda Premier League game played on Wednesday at Barifa Stadium to move fourth on the table standing.

Gaddafi Wahab put the Leopards ahead in the 12 Minute with a powerful head.

Captain Rashid Toha could have made it 2-0 but saw his close range header from Wahab’ free kick miss just inches away in the 15th minute.

Three minutes later, Innocent Media thought he had added a third for Arua Hill after placing the ball behind the net but was ruled offside by the assistant referee.

The clubs top scorer this season then saw Express goalkeeper Abdul Kimera denie him a chance to score his 8th goal of the season from a one on one situation with the return header cleared by express defence.

With his return to the squad after recovering from illness Rashid Kawawa wasted no time in his first start in the team increased the Leopards lead with a perfect volley in the 20th minute to make it 2-0.

Express then pulled themselves back into the game with Anwaru Mustafa hitting the back of the net.

Rashid Toha could have scored his 5th goal of the campaign but again saw his powerful header saved by Kimera to save his club from danger.

After the restart, the Arua based club continued pressing and their hard work paid off in the 57th minute when Media found the back of the net with his 8th goal for the season.

Things went from bad to worse for Express when Gadafi Wahab grabbed his second of the day and the clubs fourth in the 75th minute.

With the clock ticking, coach Livingston Mbabazi made a double change Innocent Media and Isaac Ogwang paving way for Dickson Niwamanya and Brian Omirambe in the 77th minute.

In the 86th minute double goalscorer Gadafi Wahab and Ibrahim Faizul where replaced by Danis Andama and Ivan Eyamu.

The Leopards next game is against Jinja based Bul FC next Wednesday.
